VISION

Our present choices and actions have huge long-term impacts on future generations. Sustainability ensures that we make ethical choices that will bring a viable future for everyone.
Through the development of sustainable business practices, Pioneer Group is committed to play its part in contributing to a sustainable future.

PRINCIPLES

We have a single sustainability policy which is annually updated in line with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as emerging & academic understanding.

To inform and promote a wider adoption of our sustainable practices, our policy is communicated to employees, contractors, visitors, key stakeholders, and our supply chain.

Pioneer Group adopt a systematic and integrated approach and are committed to maintaining the highest standards in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001.

INNOVATION

To ensure continuous business and product innovation, we:

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY, RESOURCE USE AND THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY

We are committed to fulfilling our share of the responsibility to keep the global; temperature rise

below 2’celcius and we will continue to reduce our impact on air, land and water. We:

  • Have a target to reduce emissions to air from our operations. Pioneer will transition our operational fleets from traditional combustion engines to alternative forms of energy and, through collaboration with suppliers, our fleets will be more efficient through new technology.
  • A target to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption, reduce the use of fossil fuel through efficiency improvements and the use of alternative and renewable sources. Adopt the waste hierarchy of waste prevention as per ISO 14001, reuse of materials,
  • recycling, co-processing, and energy recovery to minimise waste disposal and maximise productivity.
  • Encourage the search for sustainable businesses and circular economy by promoting the relation of social value, forming partnerships and collaborations with others to eliminate all non-conforming products.

GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING (COMMUNITY)

Three years commitment and a goal to reach 10k per year, Pioneer Group is raising funds for Stockport County Community Trust – a local charity who aim to help engage children and adults in structured, safe, fun, and developmental activities throughout Stockport and the surrounding area.

REPORTING

Per each quarter, the Directors will review all performance targets to ensure we are on track with current targets. These will be recorded within meeting minutes and stored on our shared drive for transparency across our employees. At the end of each year, the Directors will review the targets against our ISO accreditations and adjust for the following year.

Our HSEQ Manager and Facilities and Fleet Manager will be ultimately responsible for reporting on all performance reviews to feed into the quarterly board meetings
