Leicester City FC Club Shop
- The Challenge
Premier League Football Club Leicester City has embarked on a project to transform its club shop into a state-of-the-art retail destination for fans. To encourage fans to buy the latest merchandise, the club hired shopfitters, Newman Scott, to design the new store plan. This included a variety of technology and display systems to enhance customer experience, which we partnered with retail display agency Kesslers, to design and install.

- The Approach
Bringing the club’s visuals to life was central to the new store’s vision, so LED played a key role in providing high-bright, high-definition displays. We specified our own LED in a variety of formats to complement different areas of the store. Close management of the project was essential in delivering success as completion was time-critical, with a 5 week time-frame from concept to installation.
- The Solution
Fans are provided with stunning club visuals from the moment they enter the store via a 51.m x 2.9m 4mm pixel pitch curved video wall.
Further LED screens include:
- 3.5m x 2.9m 2.6mm pixel pitch LED display located in the kit area of the store
- Four individual 1m x 2m LED displays embedded between shop fittings, to promote the Fox and Crop clothing line
Working with the architecture of the building, we also engineered four-sided LED displays to be fitted around column infrastructures. These were then encased in metal cages to complement the industrial finish of the interior. All of the LED displays are driven via a Colourlight control system.
Further displays include:
- 12 Samsung UD46E displays create a 2 x 6 video wall behind the check-out tills, with content distributed via a Datapath FX4/H
- Phillips 65” 65BL3051T touch screen display for customers to browse the club’s website, with Sennheiser HD200PRO headphones to listen to live updates
- 21.5” Acer HD displays mounted back-to-back on 14 gondola fittings for in-store promotion at eye-level
