- The Challenge
Pioneer Group, a leading technology solutions provider, took on the challenge of revitalising the digital signage infrastructure for Everybody Health and Leisure, a chain of leisure centres based in the UK. The primary objective was to replace an outdated legacy system with a modern, dynamic solution that would enhance communication, engagement, and overall user experience for visitors and staff.
Project Scope: The project cantered around the deployment of Samsung 55″ displays, Allsee 50-inch totems, Signagelive Content Management System (CMS), and Brightsign media players across multiple leisure centre locations. The digital signage overhaul aimed to address the limitations of the existing system, providing a versatile and scalable solution for the client.
Challenges: The client’s legacy digital signage system was outdated, hindering effective communication and engagement within the leisure centres. Pioneer Group needed to understand the specific needs and usage requirements of each location to tailor a solution that would not only modernise the system but also align with the marketing strategies of the Everybody Health and Leisure.

- The Approach
Pioneer Group collaborated closely with the marketing department of the leisure centres to design and specify a comprehensive digital signage solution. The chosen components included Allsee 50-inch totems for impactful displays, Signagelive CMS for seamless content management, and Brightsign media players for reliable and high-quality content playback.
- The Solution
The project encompassed the entire process, from specification and design to configuration, project management, and installation of both hardware and software components. Working in tandem with Signagelive, Pioneer Group ensured the successful implementation of the CMS and provided comprehensive training to the client’s marketing team, empowering them to take control of content management.
Deployment: To date, Pioneer Group has successfully deployed the new digital signage solution in 12 locations, transforming the communication landscape within the leisure centres. The results have been significant, with improved engagement, dynamic content delivery, and an enhanced overall user experience for both visitors and staff.
Ongoing Success and Future Plans: With the initial rollout deemed a success, Pioneer Group is set to deploy the solution to additional locations in 2024. The ongoing collaboration with Everybody Health and Leisure and the integration of cutting-edge technology ensures that the digital signage solution remains current and adaptable to evolving needs.
