Digital Menu Boards & LED Feature Wall Case Study: Atis Flagship Store, Regent Street, London
- The Challenge
Atis was developed to meet the demands of an evolving relationship with food. Today, food is a story of satisfaction, personal health, sustainable sourcing and community building – so much more than just the fuel and convenience of past times. We resolved to create a space here in London that was truly reflective of the modern approach to eating. A space to serve plant-powered food that not only tastes delicious but reflects the common values of a growing global community: a community that thinks about sourcing, packaging, ethical relationships and the environment. We call this ‘powerful food’: food that tastes good and does good – for the body, the soul and the planet.
Atis was preparing to launch its flagship store on London’s iconic Regent Street, a prime location that also houses its HQ above the retail space. This opening presented a unique opportunity to make a significant impression in a high-traffic area. The challenge was to implement a digital menu board solution and eye-catching LED feature wall that was both practical and user-friendly while also creating a visually striking display to attract passersby.
- The Approach
Pioneer Group began the project with an on-site visit during the build phase of the Atis flagship store. This visit was crucial for understanding the physical space and its potential for digital installations. By seeing the site firsthand, Pioneer Group could better visualise how the digital menu boards & LED Wall would fit into the overall store design and address any spatial constraints or opportunities. This initial consultation laid the groundwork for a well-informed and effective installation strategy.
In the subsequent stages, Pioneer Group collaborated closely with Atis on the conceptual plans for the digital menu boards & LED Wall. This involved a deep dive into Atis’s vision for a sleek, modern look that would align with their branding and capture pedestrians’ attention. After thorough discussions, thin bezel video wall displays and an LED display were selected as the optimal solution to meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Pioneer Group then conducted multiple demonstrations, both in-person and live demos, to ensure Atis could fully evaluate the functionality and visual impact of the video walls & LED wall solution. This critical step ensured that the chosen solution was perfect for the store’s needs. Additionally, Pioneer Group worked hand-in-hand with Atis’s in-house designer to ensure the digital menu boards seamlessly matched the company’s branding and ethos, enhancing the overall customer experience and maintaining a consistent brand image.
- The Solution
To address Atis’s requirements for a practical, user-friendly, and visually impactful digital menu board system, Pioneer Group implemented a multi-faceted solution. Central to this solution was the selection of an Absen LED display (6m x 2m). This choice was driven by its competitive pricing, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality. The Absen LED display is controlled by a Novastar XV600 controller, providing robust and reliable management of the display functions. Additionally, an Amino H200 media player is utilised to deliver content seamlessly to the LED display, ensuring smooth and consistent visual output.
The main menu board features an 8-screen Samsung 55-inch Videowall in landscape, designed to create a high-impact visual centrepiece for the store and faces the large exterior windows. This videowall also leverages the Amino H200 media player, complemented by a Stino 8K 6 Head HDMI Player with CMS capabilities. The use of the Stino player allows for precise control and synchronisation of the content displayed across the videowall, enhancing the overall visual experience. To ensure stability and ease of installation, the screens are mounted using the B Tech System X rail system.
This comprehensive setup not only meets Atis’s functional needs but also ensures a visually striking display that effectively captures passersby’s attention and entices them to enter the store.
The outcome
The implementation of the digital menu boards & LED Wall at Atis’s flagship store on Regent Street was a resounding success. The solution not only met the practical needs of the store by providing a user-friendly and efficient system but also created a visually impactful presence that captured the attention of passersby. This striking visual appeal significantly enhanced foot traffic and customer engagement, drawing more visitors into the store and contributing to a lively, inviting atmosphere.
The sleek look, feel, and simplicity of the digital menu boards have been so well-received that Atis Foods has decided to extend this successful model to other locations. Impressed by the outcomes on Regent Street, Atis has arranged for Pioneer Group to carry out updates to six additional sites, as well as implement the solution in a new site over the coming months.
This expansion underscores the effectiveness of the combination of competitive pricing, reliable technology, and flexible content management provided by Pioneer Group. The successful deployment at the flagship store not only enhanced the customer experience at that location but also set a new standard for Atis Foods’ branding and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
