Investing in Hybrid Working Technology
Organisations should invest in Hybrid working technology to ensure that their employees can work more flexibly, effectively and efficiently. The benefits of hybrid and homeworking have been well documented by the CIPD (The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development)- with research showing that over half (54%) of organisations are looking to make a greater investment in the quality of technology available to their staff.
Hybrid working offers a range of advantages for both employers and employees alike. By investing in a contemporary hybrid model, companies can provide their staff with the tools they need to work remotely on a regular basis – allowing them to benefit from increased flexibility and improved well-being. This is already being seen amongst those businesses that have already adopted remote working practices, with many reporting improved employee engagement, productivity and motivation levels as a result.
The CIPD’s research also suggests that organisations are increasingly focusing on implementing measures which will enable more remote or hybrid working for their staff. This includes changes to organisational policy (53%), increased technological investment (54%), as well as online guidance for line managers in overseeing and supporting homeworking (52%).
By investing in Hybrid working technology, organisations can not only improve the experience of their employees but also save money due to lower operating costs associated with fewer physical workspaces. With this in mind, it is crucial that companies evaluate how they could best utilise hybrid technologies to maximise the potential benefits for all involved. Companies should particularly consider how they can create an environment which allows remote workers to feel connected and supported within the organisation – ensuring they remain productive and engaged while at home.
