Pioneer Group has become the Official Launch Event Partner of LG Electronics’ Mobile Division following the success of the G4 launch which took place this April (28th) and is LG’s biggest mobile communications launch event of 2015.
Taking place at the iconic One Marylebone in central London, the pressure was on for LG’s UK division, chosen as just one of six global launch locations, hosting media from over 20 countries. The G4 is the next iteration of LG’s ‘G’ smart phone range which has won a multitude of awards with the G2 and G3 handsets, where design is focused on enhanced user experience, with camera quality and battery life as key USPs.
Pioneer sourced and provided the striking 7 x 4 metre 4mm pixel pitch LED display, which created the stage backdrop. Due to the nature of LED, the display was truly seamless, ideal for engaging and immersing the audience into the key features of the new handset throughout the 45 minute presentation.
Paul Childerhouse, Group Director of Pioneer Group explained:
“The display brought the key messages to life through larger than life visuals which looked incredible. We worked to a very tight timescale for the project, with installation taking place in just one day. Originally we were planning a larger pixel pitch of 10mm but as the audience grew we worked quickly to source a finer pitch so everyone had the optimum viewing experience, whether front or back of the audience.”
Andrew Coughlin, Head of Mobile Communications, LG Electronics UK explained:
“The launch event was a resounding success and one of the most visually engaging that we have produced. Pioneer are a fantastic team to work with as nothing fazes them, perfect for live press events as plans can change at a moment’s notice! We look forward to many more events with their support.”
Presentations introducing the new handset were given by Brian Na, LG European President and Andrew Coughlin, Head of Mobile Communications, UK, with video content screened from Qualcomm and Google representatives, who provide the handset’s processor and software respectively.
